Another Tooth!

Cameron's 2nd tooth broke through yesterday. He now has the tops of his two bottom teeth. He looks so cute when he's smiling and you can see these two little white teeth.

I'm guessing that is why he has continued to wake up during the night. I have given up on sleeping through the night now that he is teething. Two down and many many more to go.

First Road Trip!

We made our first road trip with Cameron for Christmas. We arrived in Van Horn Saturday afternoon, very tired. We tried to get on the road early, so we left our house around 5:30 a.m. (I don't think we can do that again with two kids). We were a bit surprised at the weather in Van Horn, it was very cold and windy. Gracie did really well, but Cameron did not want to be in his car seat. He pitched a fit for a good part of the trip. Going to the restroom with two kids and no carrier was not an easy task either. Luckily, my sister in law was available to help take care of Cameron so we didn't have to put him down. I must say, I was very surprised at how many gas stations DO NOT have a changing table. We didn't have the help of my sister in law on the way back, so Gracie helped as I changed Cameron on my knees. It was quite challenging balancing him as I changed his diaper.

The kids had a wonderful time. My parents had a house full as 6 of us of were able to make the trip with the kids. (We missed you Yvonne & Yvette).

The kids got lots and lots of stuff....Santa brought Gracie was she asked for, a Mickey Mouse Christmas Train and a Gum Ball Popping Machine!

Thank you for the cell phone Aunt Jayna, Uncle Jeff, Lindsey & Ryan! Gracie had many conversations with Brandon & Jadyn (kind of scary she knows what to do).

Cameron LOVED all of the tissue paper as we opened gifts.

Here is a picture of Cameron with my grandmother, Welita Paula. She will be 93 years old next month and she still knows what to do with babies-AMAZING!

This gift was too cute, as Eyore sings, his ears flap up and down. I don't think Cameron knows what to make of him exactly.

Gracie's first computer......Leapfrog Click Start. The mouse on this thing is adorable. It even has the red light like a real mouse.

The mountains around Van Horn. I hadn't been home in a couple of years as my parents visit us more often. There isn't much I miss of the town, but I do miss the moutains. Seeing them brings back so many memories of my childhood.

Last, but not least, my Dad had Kenny and my brothers as "ranch hands" branding 2 young cows at "the ranchito". On Christmas Day, the traditional "goat incident" occurred.....that's all we'll say about that, and there are pictures we won't post here, but it's a tradition, and one we've grown used to - Kenny even has a special Cabrito Taco when it's all said and done!

Quality Time

Things have been extremely busy this month and there is no end in site. This weekend, we tried to enjoy quality time with the kids. Cameron & Gracie test drove Cameron's Christmas present! I have to say, it was a great hit. This is the coolest design, he sits in a chair that allows him to go around the excersaucer instead of sitting right in the middle. It's great, as Gracie was dancing (checkout her hip tights), Cameron went round and round in circles trying to catch her. It keeps them entertained for a good while.

When Gracie was a baby, I used to hold her upside down and tickle her. Of course, this drives Kenny crazy, but she loved it. Cameron seems to enjoy it just as much as Gracie did.

Gracie at 7 months......

In celebration of Cameron's tooth, I gave him a piece of Zwieback toast. I sat him in his high chair (former owner - Gracie) just as we did when Gracie got her first tooth. As you can see, he enjoyed his toast very much!

Needless to say, he made a bit of a mess after his toast, so we headed to the bath. This is a very special time for both of them. I enjoy watching them bond with each other. Cameron started fussing when he got water in his eyes and Gracie leaned over and said "I'm right here brother". I know they will have a close relationship with each other as I do with my sisters.

When 8:00 p.m. rolls around, Cameron is OUT. He looks like he's drunk -

Cameron's First Tooth!

This morning Cameron was extremely fussy. He woke up very early and was not a happy camper. I tried everything to make him happy, a bottle, rice cereal, playing, carrying him around, tylenol, etc. I was at my wits end when we decided to try rub his gums with little teethers. Lord and behold, we felt his first tooth had broken through. I don't like to use the little teethers very much, but that really did offer him a lot of relief!

Smiles, Smiles and more Smiles.....

With this crazy weather we've been having, we bought Cameron his first "winter coat". He was our little doll tonight. Believe it or not, he actually cried when Gracie & I took it off.

I know this picture doesn't capture where their laughter was coming from, but both kids were sitting on my legs pretending to ride a horse. I honestly wished I had the video camera at that moment. I love to watch Cameron watch Gracie. I have a feeling when he becomes mobile, I will be running around alot more and a little more exhausted...more so than I am now.

Cameron enjoyed his bisquit and sippy cup. I had reservations about giving him either, but with those teeth making their way through, the bisquit offered him quite a bit of relief. He chewed on the poor bisquit so hard, he was done eating it in about 10 minutes.

Gracie has become quite the little helper lately. She walks around asking what she can help with. She loaded the dryer on her own tonight AND she loves making Cameron's bottles. She has also taken to helping change his diapers. She's better at taking them off than putting them on!

Our Little Musicians!

Music is such a big part of our lives. Our children will definitely have a diversity in music. Gracie listens to "Boston" in Daddy's car and then listens to Vicente Fernandez in Mommy's car.

Daddy's Christmas Present......Gracie is thrilled.

More Pictures!

Gracie "loves" the Dallas Cowboys!

I LOVE THESE CHEEKS!

Weekend mornings are such a treat. Cameron enjoys watching cartoons with Gracie.

On the weekends, Gracie loves to make "french toast". She gets the biggest kick out of cracking the eggs.

Hugs from Grandpa!

This picture was just too precious not to share!

Gracie Meets Santa!

We stood in line for about 2 hours on Sunday so the kids could sit with Santa. (Of course, I'm not going to share that picture just yet!) The Santa at Willow Bend looked like "Santa", he waved Gracie over when it was her turn. She slowly walked up to him and he asked her "what would you like for Christmas"? She looked at him and said, "I would like a gum ball popping machine (it's just a gum ball machine). She was very excited to see him. Cameron also cooperated with Santa, the picture came out adorable. I think this is the only picture of me with both the kids.

Cameron is 6 months old!

Cameron will be 6 months old tomorrow! It's hard to believe time has flown by so quickly. After 3 weeks of worry over his health, he is returning to his normal self. He is still on antibiotics, but his appetite and smile have returned. We missed our little Cameron. Gracie & I had a lot of fun bathing him on Friday, he even let us spike his hair (of course, he didn't have much of a choice)!

Look at those cheeks!

Gracie had enough of the spikey hair, she had to brush it down. I will definitely say, that was an emotional moment for me. He loves her so much, he is in such awe of her.

This was the first time Gracie actually took part in Cameron's bath. She played with him and helped rinse him off. My little baby has become my little helper!

Cameron LOVED this! Watching TV, next to big sister, how much better could life get?

Gracie was rolling around the floor making Cameron laugh. He watched her every move very carefully. I see this picture and see her as our little baby. I am serious when I say that time flies by.

Our Chef! She loves to play kitchen, especially with Kenny. She loves it when she's geared up to play kitchen and Kenny calls out "Waiter"! She runs to him and says "Yes Sir"! It is hilarious to watch. Her specialty, "OakMilk".

Lastly, these pictures are precious as they capture many of his moments. Cameron's favorite

new thing lately, remove his socks. Every time I turn around, he's lost another sock. He pulls his socks off all the time.

Dad traveled to Atlanta last week for business. When he travels, he always returns with a "surprise". This time, Airforce One. Cameron was very curious about this new "noise". As Gracie played with it, his little eyes followed her very closely...
