We had a very enjoyable Saturday. We took the kids to Oktoberfest in Addison to experience some culture from Dad's side of the family. We enjoyed traditional German music, dancing, and food - well, actually, Dad had a "Brat Burger", but the German Skillet potatoes and Paulaner beer were authentic and quite tasty. Gracie had such a wonderful time. She rode many of the rides as Cameron took it all in, and she danced her little feet off while watching the performers.

How cute is this picture?

Playing airplane with Mommy! Gracie enjoyed watching as I lifted Cameron up so much, that she insisted that I play "airplane" with her too. There is a bit of a difference from 16 pounds to 39 pounds...whew, that was a workout.

Ok, I think this is the best picture of the day.

Gracie and her first Barbie. She is a "Halloween" Barbie, but the nonetheless, it's a doll. I'm very excited!

I don't think this pictures quite captures all of his adorable little rolls, but look at those thighs?

Oatmeal again? We were very successful today with the Oatmeal despite his face below. Cameron ate about 1 1/2 tablespoons of Oatmeal. After the 5th spoonful, he actually started opening his mouth when he saw the spoon. Too cute, brings back so many memories!

Day Off With Cameron!

I took the day off today to take care of Cameron. As you can see from the pictures, I've been having a lot of fun with him today. I think he knew we were playing because he kept kicking his feet back and forth causing the balls to move around. Everytime he kicked a ball, he would let out his high pitched scream. TOO MUCH FUN!

I have a picture of Gracie when she was a baby in a basket with stuffed animals. Cameron wouldn't let me put him in the basket today so I had to compromise. I've attached a picture of Gracie when she was a baby with her stuffed animals. She was about 8 weeks in this picture.

After we finished playing, we were resting in Gracie's room. He was very curious about his surrounding, he kept looking around around her room.

Why Cameron is NOT sleeping through the night....

It is about 4:50 a.m. this morning and I think I have figured out why Cameron is not sleeping through the night or I should say sleeping through to 6:00 a.m. For the past 4 days when I go to his room to feed him I find him laying vertically in his bed instead of horizontally. I couldn't help myself this morning so I took a picture. I had removed the bumper from him his crib a while back because he is a CRAZY sleeper and moves all over. I didn't want the bumper to fall on him if he tugged, etc. I think I will be putting the bumper back on today. He gets in this position because he scoots himself up with his legs. When he is vertical and trys to scoot himself, he is bumping his head against the rails. I'm going to have to get creative to get him to stop doing this. Only then will I get to sleep until 5:00 a.m.

Cameron's Milestones!

We had such a wonderful weekend! We love watching Cameron develop each day. It brings back many memories of when Gracie was a baby. It's hard to believe she's going to be 4 in a couple of weeks. There are times when I look at Cameron that I see Gracie. It's strange they both seem to have similar personalities at almost 4 months.

Cameron had a milestone moment today. He sat in his "Bumbo" for the first time today. He loves to be right in the middle of what we are doing. The "Bumbo" works beautifully. As you can see, he's sitting up on his own watching us go about our business and watching the Cowboys game with Daddy.

SECOND milestone of the day.....OATMEAL! Cameron had his first bites of Oatmeal. We're a few days early in introducing him to solids but again, I couldn't help myself. He's such a healthy eater, which is not obvious at ALL! I don't think he liked it very much. Again, it's amazing watching them grow and realizing they have to learn everything. He kept pushing the oatmeal out with his tongue. Once he had a few bites, he started pushing the oatmeal back with his tongue to swallow. We'll try again tomorrow.

THIRD milestone of the day....while sitting in his bumbo, I put his rattle in front of him. He was smiling and screaming (I think he's discovered his own voice). When he screams he belts out these high pitched screams, he sounds like a girl, it's hilarious! As I was saying, I put the rattle in front of him and he reached over grabbed it and put it right in his mouth. Seems overnight he has so much more personality than yesterday.

Last picture for today....Cameron after bath time. We have a similar picture when Gracie was a baby. Those photos are framed in her bathroom. She loves them, she looks at them and says, "there's me when I was a baby"! It's all about the memories.

Cameron's First Swim

Cameron always sits outside while his big sister swims so we decided to let him try his water legs. Turns out, he's going to love the water like Gracie. (I couldn't help myself with the little swim trunks).

This picture is priceless!

In the last few weeks, Cameron has started paying attention to his baby toys. Here he is holding his little plush puppy. He has been reaching these past few days and grabs the ears. It's funny watching him try to grab his toys, you can tell he's concentrating!

You've probably noticed that Cameron smiles in most his pictures. He smiles and talks ALL the time and it's very comforting to know that he's such a happy boy. He recently discovered his feet, ot at least that he could reach them! Anywhere we lay him, he automatically lifts his legs and reaches for his toes. It's not easy changing his diapers when he won't let go of his toes. He's been teething for about a month now and has lots of drool. I think this is one of Daddy's favorite bibs.
