Holidays....

I love the Holidays! I love sitting back, drinking my cup of tea and looking at the Christmas Tree and all the lights. I am so thankful to God for the wonderful life he has given me. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family. My sisters are my best friends! I didn't take any pictures because it tends to get a little crazy with so many of us but here are a few pictures of us picking out some pumpkins.

Time Has Flown By...

I am now in my 7th month of being a full time mother and wife. This has truly been the most amazing 7 months of my life (except when my children were born). I have been so fulfilled! I spend a lot of time volunteering at school which is more rewarding than I expected. I love being able to be available for my children when they need me. I can drop what I am doing and go tend to their needs. I have more time with them in the afternoon than I used to when I was working. I am a much more patient person...I LOVE MY FAMILY! Today, we were working on homework and Gracie was asked to write a few sentences on something she wishes she could do. I have to share this because it just melted my heart.

I with I could stay up all night long. If you stay up all night long, here is so much you can do. I could play games, eat midnight snacks, watch movies and have makeovers. My mom will not ever let me stay up all night long that is why I can only wish it.

Where has the time gone???

It has been awhile since our last blog but we have had so much going on. It is now September! I can not believe (again) that our baby girl will be 7 this month. I enjoyed spending the summer with her and Cameron and now we are trying to find our "new" routine again. Gracie started 1st Grade this school year. She was so excited, I am so happy she loves going to school. I truly enjoyed school and loved learning! I hope that rubs off on Cameron at some point :). Her teacher is Mrs. Shade. I am thankful her personality meshes well with Gracie.

Cameron also started Level III at Bent Tree this August. His new teacher is Ms. Barbara. He was not thrilled as you can see from the picture below. He has found his groove so it's been going well. There was one day where it took me 15 minutes to get him out of the car. I was in a FULL body sweat that morning!

Cute Post...

I have so many pictures I need to post and I promise I will post them soon. We are enjoying some much needed "family" time tonight. Kenny has been traveling quite a bit so the kids are excited to have him home. Kenny & Cameron are watching a Stevie Ray Vaughn video on his IPad and Cameron leaned over and said "Mommy, do you know Stinky Ray is in heaven"? I didn't have the heart to correct him, it was too darn cute.

Swim Lessons

Both kids were enrolled at Emler for a 2 week swim camp. They both did extremely well. Cameron began his camp at an Aquatot level, this is a level where kids begin who can not swim without flotation. Even though we did swim lessons last year, Cameron forgot everything! By the end of the two weeks, he passed Advanced Aquatots and Super Aquatots and they placed him as an X-treme Aquatot. This is for kids who can swim at least 15 feet and will focus on challenging them to swim 20 feet while getting a rollover breath. You can see from the video both kids had a blast. The day I took the video camera was safety week. Basically, kids go in their regular clothes to learn what to do in the event they fall in the pool or they fall in while in a boat with a life vest on. It was very interesting...we begin our 2nd swim camp on Monday.

Funny Story(ies)

I have to post this funny story before I forget. Last Friday, Cameron & I had lunch with Gracie. We left the school and were headed to run some errands. I look in my rear view mirror and see flashing lights, ugh, my stomach sank. I stopped and Cameron starts asking my why I have stopped the car. I explain to him that when a police officer flashes his lights, that means you need to pull over. This is over conversation.

Cameron: Why he pull you over mommy?

Me: I don't know honey.

Officer: License and registration please. Any reason you were speeding ma'am?

Me: No sir, I guess I wasn't paying attention

Cameron: Open my window mommy, open my window mommy, open my window mommy.

I roll down the window so he would be quiet.

Cameron to the Police Officer: Hey, what my mommy do?

Officer: Looks up at me

Cameron to the Policer Officer: Hey, what my mommy do?

Me: roll up the window as quickly as I could

I am trying so hard not to laugh. The officer walks back to his car to run me through their computer and I bust out laughing.

Cameron: what he doing mommy? he didn't answer me

Me: I know honey, he said I was going fast

Cameron: Yeah, I know.

Officer: Ma'am...this is a warning. Please try to pay attention.

Me: THANK YOU OFFICER - GOOD DAY AND GOD BLESS

Me: THANK YOU GOD!

Today's story, June 2nd.

Cameron has had a really bad cold/allergies and has been couped up at home so today after we picked Gracie up from school, we headed to the mall for some new shoes for Gracie. While at the mall, I decide to run into Ann Taylor Loft. As I am looking through some shorts, Cameron blurts out LOUDLY, excuse me Mommy, I farted!

I think red was NOT the only color I was turning.

Love my sweet sweet boy.

Kingwood Visit

We had a great visit last weekend with Mimi & Didi. I had extremely bad allergies, but other than than, it was a relaxing weekend.
My babies on their way to feed the fish.
This is one of my favorite pictures...he is such a little poser!
I love when she smiles!

Easter 2010

We had so much fun for Easter. Saturday night we dyed all of our Easter Eggs.
Gracie was NOT liking the color of her egg very much...

My little Easter Bunny. He made these little Bunny Ears at school. He was so proud of them and wanted to wear them all the way in the car to go pick up Gracie. It was very windy that day...when we got to Rogers Elementary, I told Cameron we needed to leave his Bunny Ears in the car. I wish I would have had a camera, he was SOO sad. So I let him wear his Bunny Ears, I just told him to hang onto them. Well, this little one did not listen and the Bunny Ears started to fly away. His cry was one of heartache so I set him on the side walk and start running after them. Let's just say running in 4 inch heels didn't get me very far. I had ran quite a distance away from Cameron that I just stopped running and turned back to go hug my baby. At that moment, a Dad picking up his little girl parked his car and took off running after the Bunny Ears. He ran across the street and into someone's yard. He walked up to Cameron & I and handed him his beloved Bunny Ears. Thank you Lord was all that was going through my head. Not very many people would have done that but this good Samaritan made my little one's day. We walked into the school and he ran straight to Gracie to show off his Bunny Ears. Don't you just want to eat those cheeks?
Back to our festivities. The Easter Bunny always stops by for a visit when the kids are sleeping. This year, he left a big stuffed Easter Bunny for each of them and a trail of Cadburry Eggs leading to the front door.
Oh how I love my sweet little angels. It was a full day of fun. Most of my brothers and sisters came over and we just had a blast. Kenny heated the pool so we were able to enjoy awesome weather in the pool.

I just have to say that my brothers always know how to have fun with the kids...

Gracie was NOT having any part of the confetti eggs until Tio Raul had a long conversation with Gracie and reasoned with with her on letting him pop an egg on her. She was hooked after that! Cameron kept walking around asking everyone if they had any "cracker" eggs.
