New Pictures

As usual, things have been very busy. I can't believe in 2 weeks, our little boy will be 1! We had cousin Brandon over a couple of weeks ago again. This time, he learned to float around the pool on his own. Go Brandon! We were so proud of him. He has always been fearful of the pool (he fell into our pool when he was 2). This was such a great accompolishment for him!
Brandon turned 5 on April 26th - WOW. I can't believe he's already 5. I still remember the day we brought him and my sister home from the hospital. For a big boy, we had to buy him a "big" boy bike. We took him to Toys R Us and let him pick it out. I was very hesitate, but he showed us he could ride his new bike. Like we do each time he comes to visit, we go feed the ducks. This time around, he rode his new bike to the lake.

Cameron tries to keep up with Gracie & Brandon.....

This is one of my favorite pictures. Gracie loves Brandon dearly.

Cameron's new "favorite" thing to do. Seriously, this little boys keeps us on our toes!

Where Do I Begin.....

After such a wonderful weekend with Cousin Brandon, Cameron was not quite himself Monday or Tuesday. I suspected he was suffering from allergies as was I. We went to the Dr. on Wednesday just to make sure there was nothing else going on. Guess what she found? Yup, ear infections, primarily the left ear - AGAIN. This makes the 6 ear infection this year. Things are no looking so good for Cameron. After the 5th infection, they told us if he got another ear infection, they would not treat him with oral antibiotics. They weren't kidding either. We began our 3 day treatment by injection. He received 2 shots on Wednesday of Rocephin. As I have learned, Rocephin is a pretty heavy duty antibiotic that is mixed with lidocaine, they inject it into the thigh muscles. He was NOT a happy camper. He (nor we) slept much Wednesday night. Thursday morning, we head out to the Dr. again. His ears are looking much better and his nasal cavitity is not as swollen (poor kid could not breathe). Round 2 of Rocephin! It's now been 4 shots he's received, so needless to say I had a very very very fussy, needy baby on Thursday. He woke up 3 times, 2 of those he had bottles, yea. This morning, he awoke congested but in really good spirits. We get to the Dr. again and his ears are "BEAUTIFUL" and grey as they should be. The swelling in his nasal cavity is gone so we are very thankful. We still had to do Round 3 of Rocephin though. Unfortunately today, his little body said ENOUGH. His legs swelled up and looked like tomatos so we had to give him some benadryl and wait for another 20 minutes to make sure he was ok. Thank the Lord he's feeling much better. Can I tell you how much better? I went into the laundry room this evening and came out to find Cameron at the TOP of the stairs. I was only in the laundry room as long as it takes to start a load - really. He found my scream of panick very amusing. Another thing he has found amusing is his farting. Yup, every time he farts, he laughs histerically. Our little boy is back to normal!

Let's pray no more ear infections.......

11 Months!

Cameron is officially 11 months old! WOW, where has the time gone? I find it hard to believe in less than 30 days, our little baby is going to be one.

Cameron will be joining Gracie at Bent Tree next month. We'll keep you posted on his transition. We will truly miss Tally as he loves her dearly.

Bent Tree!

We are so fortunate to have found Bent Tree Child Development Center for Gracie. The first months were tough for all of us, but I am so thankful we stuck through it. Last week was a busy week for Gracie. She went to visit Dr. Ruebin (dentist) who she adores. This is greatest pediatric dentist office I found. I visited quite a few offices before I made Gracie's first dentist appointment. When I walked into Dr. Ruebin's office, I knew we had found our dentist. Our little one did awesome, X-rays, cleaning and flossing. On our way to school, she talked about the "awesome" glasses Dr. Ruebin had her wear. As we pulled into Bent Tree, we saw the Addison Fire Truck and Addison Police visiting the school. This is great experience for little kids. The Fire Fighters and Policemen were real "troopers" handling a bunch of excited, loud pitched kids. Each class got a tour of the fire truck and police car. As you can see from the picture, I think it was a little loud for Ms. Gracie.

Each child donated a teddy bear to the Addison Police Department. Gracie was NOT a happy camper when the police car drove away with "her" teddy bear in the truck. She pitched a fit for about 45 minutes...something else we're going to have to tackle with her. The joys of parenting!

Fun, Fun, Fun

This weekend, like all the others, was busy, busy, busy. My sisters and I had a garage sale Saturday morning. Of course, I went back to sleep after I fed Cameron and didn't wake up until my niece called to ask if I was going. So we got up and started taking stuff out of the attic. We found Gracie's push cars (not sure what they are really called) and sat Cameron in one to see if he could grasp the concept of pushing himself. Boy did he! He LOVES the Wiggles car. He hasn't mastered the balancing part of the toy, but that doesn't stop him. Of course, we were going to take the Pooh one to sell but Gracie wouldn't have it. They're having fun.

Big boy eating bisquits and gravy for breakfast.

MAKING A MESS.......this boy does NOT sit still for one second. He is constantly on the move. I'm not sure what I'll do once he starts walking.

I went into the laundry room for a few seconds and he was climbing the stairs.

Beautiful day.....

Busy Weekend!

We had a very busy weekend. Last week we ran around getting ready for Yaya's baby shower. I decided I would make the cupcakes Friday night so I would just have to decorate them on Saturday morning. I had some great helpers; they did more licking than helping.

My niece Jasmine, her baby Esmeralda and Cameron.

New baby on the way, yah! We'll get to meet "her" on the 28th.
Cameron was exhausted!

My sisters, niece, great niece and sister-in-law. (Top row-Yvette, Yvonne & Ymelda. Bottom row-Jasmine, Julie, Yaya & Ysela and Esmeralda)

I still haven't figured out why Gracie enjoys laying in the play pen while watching television. It doesn't seem very comfortable.

We have been trying to go out and get some exercise as a family. We bought a bike and buggy about a month ago; it's great. I enjoy it because I enjoy running outside when we have good weather and we all get to do it together. We biked/ran almost 3 miles today. My goal this year is to run a marathon!
