Happy Halloween

This year, Halloween was very exciting for us. We celebrated Cameron's first Halloween, and Gracie was excited about going out trick-or-treating. This was after she threw a fit for about an hour! Gracie was JoJo the Clown (from JoJo Circu) and Cameron was Eyore.




































































































We went to over to our neighbors house, to visit Baby Spiderman (Baby Milo). Too Cute!















After a few houses, Gracie was real excited about ringing the door bell. I tried to help her a few times and she just looked at me and said "Mom, I can do it by myself". It me happy and sad all at the same time. I told her we were only going to go to a few houses, but the further down the street we went, she wanted to keep going. She would say "that's weird, no lights on". It was funny to know that somehow she knew not to go to that house. She also insisted on trick-or-treating at her own house too.

Gettin' Caught Up!

This month has definitely proven to be one of our busier months. We were all sick at one point in time during this month, but we all now seem to be doing better. Gracie had her first official "sleepover" with cousin Brandon this past Saturday. They were extremely exhausted after an all day of play that they feel asleep in record time, 5 minutes if I remember correctly.















We were hoping the kids would sleep in late considering neither had napped the previous, but that didn't happen. All the kids, including Cameron were awake by 7:30 a.m. Kenny & I took the kids to the Warren Complex to feed the ducks. It was a really nice morning and nice to get out and get the blood flowing.....





























Cameron enjoyed a nice nap in his stroller......




















Kenny went to the game Sunday afternoon so I had to get creative in keeping Gracie busy. We went to Joann Fabrics and bought materials to make our own Halloween ghosts. For those who know Gracie, you know this was a really big step for her. She has refused to go into Walgreens because they have too many scary "stuff" hanging from the ceiling. We had a wonderful time making our ghosts, we made happy ghosts, sad ghosts, angry ghosts, etc. Our Halloween ghosts have an array of personalities.




















During our ghost making, we had Cameron in his walker. He is moving very fast these days, still only going backwards. As Gracie and I were making our ghosts, I heard this loud thud. She & I turned to find Cameron in the middle of my ivy plant. As you can see from the picture, he was very interested in putting it into his mouth that he knocked the entire plant stand to the floor. Gracie tried to pull him away and got frustrated very quickly that he continued to migrate back towards the plant.















Since Sunday was a very eventful day, it was no surprise that Cameron had his first jar of baby food. I have been struggling with him for the past 2 weeks to take the bottle. He doesn't want it! He will drink 8 oz. usually at bedtime and his first feeding of the day, but other than that, it has become a struggle. As I was drinking a glass of water, he kept reaching for my glass. Every time I moved it away from his reach, he would scream. I decided to give him his first baby jar of food, Rice Cereal.....My intent was to only give him a half of jar, but half way into it, I quickly realized he was going to go all the way! It was amazing watching his expressions with each spoonful! Grandma & Yaya were in total awe as I was.















I can't believe these are our children. We are truly blessed and as hard as it is having two children, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. These little munchkins are a part of Kenny and a part of me!




















Cameron is sleeping at least 9 hours straight each night. He just looked too peaceful, I couldn't resist.















And for the last picture of this post....Cameron is outgrowing his car seat. He weighed 19 lbs. 2 oz. two weeks ago and I can definitely feel it. My arm has begun going numb each time I have to carry the car seat. Again, it's amazing to think that only 5 months ago, he was floating around this same car seat.

When Gracie was 4 months.....

Here is a picture of Gracie at 4 1/2 months in her Excersaucer! When I see pictures like this one, I notice how the two look so much a like.

Rollin' Over and Walkin'

The camera doesn't quite capture the full roll, but Cameron rolled over for the first time Wedndesday night. He has mastered rolling over onto his stomach but he hasn't quite figured out how to roll himself back onto his back. A little frustrated since he discovered he can scream his head off to get my attention!


























































Cameron is not walking on his own yet but he loves, loves, loves his new walker. He only goes backwards right now, but that is a big acomplishment for him. Gracie didn't take much to the walker but I think we're going to be in for a ride with Cameron since we have much longer hallways than we did in our old house. He's going to have a field day!

Gracie's 4th Birthday!

We had a very busy week and weekend; we had Gracie's Disney Princess birthday party. As usual, we do too much and over exhaust overselves. Seeing Gracie's expressions and enthusiam made it all worth while. Mimi & T-Ma drove from Houston to help us get ready. Thank you both very much for all of your help and hard work :) Gracie got a "big" girl bike for her birthday! She had such a wonderful time riding it. She didn't want to go to school the morning of her birthday because she didn't want to leave her Princess Bike behind. When we mentioned "Mommy" was going to bring cupcakes to school, she was out the door. Kenny & I are amazed each day at how grown up she is. We still see her as our little girl. We both know that's how we will always see her.

(She really was excited about her bike, the brakes were freaking her out a little bit)





























Cupcakes at school! Although, after seeing the kids just LICK the frosting from the cupcake, I think next year I will just bring cookies!


































Our little princess.....even though Sleeping Beauty is her FAVORITE princess, this year, she decided to be Snow White. I hope we can reuse the costume for Halloween (keep your fingers crossed she doesn't change her mind)!

How BEAUTIFUL is this cake? I was truly amazed that it turned out better than what I had expected. When I was talking to the baker on Friday, I was getting extremely nervous because she was talking 100 miles+ - kuddos to her!

All of the kids had a wonderful time, as you can see, Brandon was quite the clown.














I'm not sure if Maudie actually enjoyed the dance, but Lee sure did have a good time dancing.

The Kids Are Growing!

Gracie and Cameron went to the dr. for their check ups. Gracie had her 4 year check up and Cameron had his 4 month check up. Gracie weighs 40 pounds 39 1/ inches. She is now in the 75th percentile. She has always been in the 95th so she's right where she should be for her age. Cameron weighs 17 pounds 14 oz., he is in the 90th percentile. We were blessed with healthy kids!

Cameron has become more aware of all of his surroundings. He gets very excited playing with his toys. He loves to bite this poor little elephant.











































Gracie is making her strawberry milk on her own! She took the milk and syrup out of the refrigerator all by herself, it was amazing that she was once the size of our little Cameron!
