Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was a very busy weekend for us. Friday night, Kenny watched the kids so I could go get my hair done. I am so thankful Zoya was kind enough to take a late appointment. I got home at 9:30. Saturday morning we were off to gymnastics. Since Gracie has made a new friend Lucy, she goes with me instead of Dad driving her to her class and we swap kids. So after a 9:00 a.m. and 10:50 gymnastics class, we head to Toys R Us to buy a gift for Jadyn's birthday party which was today. We got home a little later than anticipated so Cameron was NOT able to take a nap. He is usually pretty good if he can get a power nap but we had tickets to Walking With The Dinosaurs, so he and Gracie were VERY excited. I have to say, it was an amazing show. Here is the link to the trailer http://www.dinosaurlive.com/. We made it home around 5:30 only to get Gracie ready to attend "Parents Great Escape" at GymStar. So we got her dressed in her costume, Thumbelina, and headed out again. I stayed for awhile since this was a first for Gracie & me. I was trying to take pictures and she kindly asked me to leave. So I left! I had no idea what to do with myself, I drove down Preston trying to stay close by just in case. For those of you who don't know, Parents Great Escape is offered to allow parents to go out on a date, dinner or watch a movie. Kenny was at home watching Cameron and I was driving aimlessly down Preston. I pulled into the new Market Street to get some fruit. After about an hour, I decided to drive back to check up on Gracie. Momma's intuition I guess, but Gracie was about to start crying realizing I really had left the building! I opened the door and she came running towards me with smeared make up all over her face. That was the end of the night, we packed up and headed home. Not sure when we'll try that again, at least not any time soon. We slept in a bit this morning and out the door again to Jadyn's birthday party at Pump It Up. It was a lot of fun. I think this was the first time Cameron was not afraid and jumped around for 2 hours. Needless to say I had to be right there with him so we were pooped. We normally don't have that much going on on the weekends and I'm hoping we don't have to cram so much into two days anytime soon. I have to warn you, there are a lot of pictures!
Getting ready for the show to start. Cameron watched most of the show on my laps with his eyes covered. Gracie was in heaven listening to a real paleontologist narrate the show.
